The construction of my website and this blog has been an absorbing, frustrating but interesting journey. I have been reading threads and commentary online of late, and it seems that I am not the only photographer out there who is befuddled by the options. A good example is this thread on flickr and this post by Bert Stephani.
I promised to put together my thoughts and experiences so that others out there could save some of the downtime that I had. You may or may not agree with my approach, but hey – it’s a free world! (more…)
If you are following my blog or website (hi Mum), then I hope that you are impressed with what you see, because it’s my baby, and I have worked hard to get it to where it is. I am proud of it no matter how homely it might seem to others and I fail to see its flaws. That’s what emotional attachment will do to you.. (more…)

Following on from my previous post on the strobist phenomenon, over the weekend we held a meetup of the Melbourne Strobist group. We hosted 19 photographers in a large hall with 5 sets running concurrently and 6 models on hand.
